Thanks for writing back. I'm glad you agree (I'm assuming you mean, also, that ear
candling is a hoax).
Be good!
I had no idea what you first meant. (is it true) I
was just horsing around.
Everyone gets different things out of candling. It's not what's in the bottom of the
candles, but how you feel. The warmth and smoke goes down into the ear and can
soften the old hard wax and over the next few days the ear can extract the wax on it's
[sic] own.
Good Luck, Have Fun and Enjoy!! Russ
OK, thanks.
I think you said that ear candles make you feel good, and then, some time later, perhaps
days later, ear wax comes out of the ear, and maybe it does not -- you said "can
extract", so this makes me think there is this possibility, but only a slight
one. Please correct me if I'm wrong. In any case, this sounds like I might
want to try it so that I can get first hand experience. I want to know.
A friend of mine told me that there was a very negative and skeptical report about ear
candles on the radio today. And there seems to have been an article in the Skeptical
Inquirer some months ago, saying that ear candles are a charlatanic hoax.

How about letting me send you some product for the link? The fee is not
going to work for us, because there's no accounting or tracking it. Please
reply...

We have become aware of your website showing various pages and text from one
of our copyrighted books. There is also a statement on that site that talks
about Wally's coming out with a "new ROMAN candle" that "really packs a
punch". We have received calls from our customers and even from overseas
agents who have seen this site, asking us when we are going to be
introducing this new candle. We of coures do not offer any such
procduct and
have no intention of doing so.
I spoke with your daughter by phone this morning and she told me that you
are not exactly an advocate of ear candling. This is your right [sic]. There is
probably very little I could tell you that would change your mind however
I
would like to let you know that Wally's is not one of the ear candling
manufacturers that makes absurd claims about what ear candles can do etc.
To the contrary we have been trying very hard to set the record straight and
put down all the false and misleading claims being made by other companies
just to sell their candles. We have totaly revised our guide to
ear
candling and our new website will be up and running shortly. I think you
may see what I am saying here about who we are and what we tell the
consumers about our products.
I would ask that you please remove the detrimental areas on you website
immediately. The pictures of Wally (our registered logo) and the pictures
you have used from our copyrighted book, are being used without our
permission. I don't have a problem with someone using these pictures with
our permission, etc, as long as they are used to benefit Wally's and not to
make fun of our company or our products. I don't want this to go any
further, I hope you don't either. I have however, forwarded a copy of this
email to our legal counsel in the event further action is necessary. I would
appreciate very much hearing back from you regarding this issue. You can
email me or call me at (800) 215-1566. Believe it or not I would enjoy
talking with you. You might just find that maybe you are taking a poke at
the wrong company when we talk, and also find out who we really are and how
we do business etc.
I thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to
hearing from you shortly.
Sincerely,
Terry Oquinn
