Cat Malpractice?

Returning It

Amazon:

To Your Health ( ACCSusan)

I bought this stuff for the cat and posted a one-star (Temple Records) review on Amazon.com.
To Your Health, the vendor, didn't like the review.

 My review

Temple Records     It's half Air !
The tube I received was ~ 40% air!

My cat likes it just fine, but I can't say how well it works yet; this is her first day on this laxative.

I willingly paid $9 for this. Even though I'm an Amazon Prime member, I had to pay double:
shipping this thing cost more than the product itself cost.

Hello,
This is Manny with To Your Health. I wish you had contacted me before you left this negative feedback for us. You complained about the cost of shipping. This item was not offered by Amazon and it was not fulfilled by Amazon. As a Prime member, you know that only items that are sold by Amazon or fulfilled by Amazon are eligible for free shipping under the Prime program. We sell this item ourselves, not through Prime. Amazon will not allow us to offer free shipping. Because of this, we reduce the cost of the items by $4.50 each making the total cost (cost plus shipping) the best price offered. Selling the Laxatone for $4.19 without the shipping would be selling the product for a loss. As it stands, we make about $0.50 on the total transaction and to be punished with a negative feedback for offering the best total cost and shipping quickly seems a bit harsh. We would much rather offer the product at the correct cost of $8.67 and give free shipping. That way, the customers would only concentrate on the great deal they got instead of getting hung up on the shipping costs. Unfortunately, Amazon will not allow us to do that.
As for the tube being half full, please understand that we do not manufacture these items, we simply buy them and resell them to you at a discount. The manufacturer packages them this way for a reason. You are getting the full 5 ounces of product that you paid for. The air is probably so the product is easier to squeeze out or it might not be air at all. It may be nitrogen to prevent spoilage. In any case, the manufacturer packages it that way for reasons beyond my need to know.

I would respectfully ask if you would please consider removing the negative feedback you left for us. Negative feedbacks hurt our business and in this case, we feel that it is totally undeserved. We offer quality products that are always fresh, at the best prices, and shipped fast.
Please get back to me at your earliest convenience.
Respectfully,
Manny

Re: "As a Prime member, you know". So there's no problem with my revealing that, then, since everybody knows this, yes?

Re: "we make about $0.50...". So you decide to sell this for that profit margin. Ok.

Re: "The air is probably so the product is easier to squeeze out or it might not be air at all."
This sounds stupid. Everybody knows that when those stiff-plastic tubes have air, as in when they get empty, getting things out is more difficult, not easier as you claim.

Re: "reasons beyond my need to know". That's stupid. A seller should know everything about his wares.

Re: "Amazon will not allow us to offer free shipping". If that's so, you are doing it wrong, it seems. NOBODY can prevent me from doing a favor to someone.

I think it may be so, what you say about the price. Similar tubes if this stuff that do have Amazon prime shipping cost about the same as what I paid you, including shipping. And I think -- not sure -- that you've over - billed for the ACTUAL sipping cost.

You'd be better off, I think, to describe this difficulty in your product description. As it is, I think I've been cheated, what with a half empty tube. And this makes shipping more expensive than it needs to be -- to ship a product in a container that's larger than it needs to be!

Thank you kindly for writing.

Ok, I only thought that I would explain this and ask you in a respectful manor to remove, what I feel is, an undeserved negative feedback. I will simply post a response to the feedback with my explanation.
Take care and God bless [sic].
Manny

If I were you, I'd have offered to make it right, but you only offer lame "explanations", guesses, like nitrogen is required to keep this cat-goop fresh, etc.

I will blog about you too, now, and I will make a web page and link it to you. I'll let you know, if that's ok. I hope I have your permission to also post your correspondence there. Thank you kindly in advance. I'll send you your new URL later.
