The brunch is held on the first Sunday of each month at the Sizzler Family Steak House (back room), at 371 East 400 South in SLC. -- Directions Please tell the person taking your meal order that you are with the group -- a 15% gratuity will be added to your bill.
Aug 1,2010: Richard Dawkins -- Video: Dawkins discusses Darwinism, creationism, and the controversy over the "African Eve" hypothesis in which Dawkins shows that Homo Sapiens evolved in Africa over 100,000 years ago and that our ancestors' genes survive in us today. This DVD is part of the Skeptics Society distinguished lecture series and based on his 1995 book RIVER OUT OF EDEN. Dawkins new book is THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH. Discussion to follow... Sep 5,2010 (tentative): Brain Barnard -- State of the Church State address: If the case of American Atheists vs the Utah Highway Patrol Christian crosses case is decided by the 10th Circuit before this date. Brian Barnard will speak at the Salt Lake Valley Atheist brunch as a fund raiser for the Utah Civil Rights and Liberties Foundation. If the decision does not come down before this date we will push the event back to September 5 or later.

On Saturday, June 19, 2010. We will be holding the Atheist Summer Solstice Party at Richard's house. The party will start at 7:30 PM. The address is 2482 Promontory Drive in Salt Lake City. Directions: From Foothill Boulevard and approximately 2300 So . . . Turn east at the light onto Thunderbird Drive (Approx 2300 So.) Follow Thunderbird to Scenic Drive, and turn right. Follow Scenic to Promontory Drive, and turn left. 2482 will be on the right at the top of the street. House number is on the mail box. See map
